Sunday Joey didn't want anything to do with Nursery. He cried and cried, my mom who is the Nursery leader finally had to come get me. He was asleep in just a few minutes of my holding him and I figured that he was just tired. After holding him for a few minutes longer, I noticed that he had a fever. His little face, hands, and back were just burning up. I got Leo and Capri and we went home. I gave Joey some tylenol and he went down for a 4 hour nap.
When Joey and I were napping, Capri decided to come down with a fever as well. She puked three times Sunday. They took turns crying and being miserable, sometimes at the same time. My heart breaks when my kids are sick. I just hate it.
Both had their fevers spike at 102.7 degrees. Yesterday we called our friend Peter to come and assist in giving Joey a blessing. It probably sounds silly to some, but I get so emotional when the babies are sick. I cry with them, and pray pray pray. Capri was on the mend, but poor Joey was simply miserable.
Today they finally woke up without fevers. YEA! Just a 48 hour bug. They had both gone to bed with slight fevers but were wonderful today.
Almost...
Leo put the kids in the little tent thingy that attaches to the back of his bike to take them for a ride. I had just pulled up to the house from work when they were about to leave. Joey started screaming and Leo saw it. A wasp had stung poor baby Joey's thumb. Leo tried to suck Joey's thumb, to get whatever it is out. Why don't wasps die after stinging something?! I just wanted to hold him and take care of him. I called my bestie Lisa (a simply wonderful RN) and asked what to do. Leo wanted me to call the pediatricion too. Lisa was a great comfort and told me what to do.
Looking forward to a very non-eventful day.
Drama much? No thank you! I'm done!
